Shepparton Legal Careers Showcase

Shepparton Law Courts in partnership with Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project will showcase local employment opportunities to Year 11 and 12 Legal Studies students from Shepparton High School and Mooroopna Secondary College on Thursday (Oct 18th).
The event coordinated by Amy Robinson, Coordinator Industry Links and transitions for Lighthouse, Pat Cummins Senior Registrar for Hume Magistrates Court of Vic and Lori Hodgson Senior Practice Advisor with the Department of Justice and Regulation.
Pat Cummins said, “We were thrilled to have been contacted by Lighthouse to facilitate an event designed to showcase the variety of career opportunities available at the Shepparton Law Courts to local high school students.”
Lighthouse is a community organisation that has created a movement to improve wellbeing and educational outcomes of young people in Greater Shepparton. The concept of the Legal Professions Careers Day was actioned through Lighthouse’s Collaborative Leadership Table ‘Launching successfully to work or further study’.
“There are so many great career opportunities right on our doorstep and days like this can ignite passion and aspiration for our young local people and increase their opportunities to access meaningful and ongoing study and employment pathways” Ms Robinson said.
