Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project is proud to partner with 123Read2Me, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to delivering free, high-quality second-hand books to children. Over the past few years, 123Read2Me has supplied more than 10,000 books to schools across Greater Shepparton, helping foster a lifelong love of reading.
Recently, Gowrie Street Primary School celebrated Book Week with a special Book Fair made possible by 123Read2Me. Hundreds of titles filled the school hall, and every child was able to choose five books to take home and keep. The event was coordinated by Lighthouse in partnership with the Shepparton Central Rotary Club, whose volunteers generously assisted on the day.
The Gowrie Street Book Fair is just one example of how Lighthouse connects schools and community groups with valuable opportunities and resources. Through our partnerships, we help bring impactful initiatives like 123Read2Me into local classrooms, supporting students with tools that inspire learning, curiosity, and confidence.
We thank both 123Read2Me and the Shepparton Central Rotary Club for helping us provide these opportunities for young people in our community.
