Do you have a car seat you no longer require? The Greater Shepparton Lighthouse Project is seeking donations of car seats appropriate for 0-4+ year-olds. Your donated car seat/s will be gifted to families needing a little extra support and will go a long way to managing the cost of living pressures.
Community members donating car seats must ensure the following criteria are met:
- All donated car seats must meet Australian Standards relating to car seats, in particular Australian Standard AS/NZS 1754 and have a red sticker attached that displays the Australian Standard AS/NZS 1754
- All donated car seats must be free from defects of any kind;
- All donated car seats must be less than nine years old (taken from the month and year of manufacture);
- All donated car seats must not have been involved in an accident or collision (whether major or minor).
Note: Car seats acquired via hard rubbish will not be accepted.
Car seat donors must sign a declaration stating the above criteria apply to the donated car seat.
Car seat donations can be dropped off at:
- The Lighthouse office at Emerald Bank, 7715A GV Hwy, Kialla. Open Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm.
- Mooroopna Family Haven, 15-17 Young Street, Mooroopna (the old SPC canteen). Open Tuesday to Thursday from 10am-2pm.
