Our Pit Stop team is thrilled with the latest batch of bird boxes built by the awesome young people who participated in the Pit Stop program in term one!

Pit Stop is a hands-on learning program delivered by Lighthouse's dedicated trio of Mat, Wayne and Chris (pictured). These guys are passionate about sharing their wealth of mechanical experience and knowledge, teaching valuable skills like working on small engines, cars, bikes, and bird box construction! Mat, Chris and Wayne also aim to build confidence and develop problem-solving skills and are often asked to act as referees for participants seeking trade-based employment.

A huge shoutout to all the young people who joined us for our Term One program! The 20+ bird boxes will be donated to the Shepparton Field and Game team, who will install them at various wetland reserves across our region.

And, of course, a big thank you to Mat, Wayne, and Chris for delivering another engaging term of activities. We look forward to the learning opportunities that Term Two will bring!
